Renting an audio guide is one of the not-to-be-missed experiences in the Palace of Versailles.
As you walk through the Royal Residence, an audio guide narrates a detailed description of the attractions, including the State Apartments, the Hall of Mirrors, the Galleries, and much more.
The main audio guide is available in 13 languages—English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Korean, Italian, Russian, Japanese, Ukrainian, Polish, Chinese-Mandarin, and Arabic.
The Trianon audio guide is available in three languages—English, French, and Spanish.
You can get an audio guide from the collection desk located in the Dufour Pavilion’s vestibule.
The audio guide collection desk opens at 9 am all through the year. It closes at 5.30 pm during the high season (April to October) and 4.30 pm during the low season (November to March).
You need to return the audio guide at the ground floor of the Gabriel pavilion.

Audio guide on mobile or rent?
Even though the Palace of Versailles audio guide is included with entry tickets for free, some prefer to download it from the stores.
Downloaded for free from the AppStore or Google Play Store.
If you decide to go for the mobile app, we suggest you download it before your visit and launch it once to download all the audio guides.
Thus, even if you don’t have an internet connection, you can still enjoy the audio guide.
However, you will have to get your earphones.
If you don’t want all these hassles, visit Dufour Pavilion and pick up your audio guide.
