Should you book a Guided Tour instead?

A guided tour of the Palace of Versailles lasts around 90 to 150 minutes with a local guide and costs €77 per person. However, we don’t recommend this option because it’s twice as expensive, and you must follow a strict schedule and pre-determined route.
Instead, we suggest choosing the Versailles full-access ticket, which lets you explore the Palace at your own pace for a more relaxed and enjoyable experience.
Basic Versailles Entry Ticket
If you are looking for something cheaper or want to visit only the main palace, you can pick this Palace of Versailles Entry Ticket, which costs €21. However, this ticket doesn’t include entry to the palace gardens during show season, Trianon Palace, or Marie Antoinette’s Estate.
